Changes of Blood Pressure of Hypertensive Patient to Anesthesia

Abstract
Uatreated high blood pressure constitutes a serious risk to patients undergoing anesthesia and surgery.,
We have been studied of the blood pressure changes to the induction, intubation, maintenance and recovery from anesthesia in 147 cases of the untreated lypertensive patients.
The most of all patients had high blood pressure before anesthesia, slight reduction of blood pressure: occurred during induction and maintenance of anesthesia, but severe elevation of blood pressure: occurred at the intubation period.
Heart rate was significantly depressed in all groups during anesthesia except inubation.
It is concluded that anesthestics and premedicants were not related to hypertensive patient anesthesia.
The circulatory depressant effects of halothane should be carefully weighed against any possible advantages of this agent.
If the thiopentone is to be used for induction of anesthesia, the lowest possible does should be administered slowly.
Premc;dication of the hypertenisve patient, whether treate:i or not, is a matter for individual consideration.
Our experience would suggested that hypnotics, sedatives or narcotics are unnecessary and it is necessary to administered antihypertensive therapy before anesthesia anc; surgery.
